Ian Williams FCA MIPA has over thirty years experience in insolvency. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with Cork Gully, becoming an audit partner with that firm before its merger with Grant Thornton.
His increasing involvement in investigation and corporate recovery over the years led him to specialise in this area. He has been involved in a number of
high profile cases, including complex cross-border insolvencies, as well as innumerable smaller cases.
In addition to undertaking forensic investigations in support of legal actions for recovery of assets, he also has a particular expertise in investigations into, and providing solutions for, businesses of all sizes in financial difficulties. He joined Benedict McQueen in 1990 and is lead partner at the Central London office.
Ian is a member of the National Association of Non-administrative Receivers (NARA) and can, therefore, take appointments under a fixed charge.
Ian is authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Insolvency Practitioners Association in the United Kingdom.
