Kevin Weir MIPA started his career with the Inland Revenue and qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1990. During the recession of the early 1990s Kevin transferred into the insolvency department of the UKs largest insolvency firm - Cork Gully - and spent four years trading various receiverships across the South Coast, principally in the leisure, construction and manufacturing sectors.

Kevin understands the trials and tribulations of everyday business life having spent almost five years running his own businesses during the late 1990s. Having returned to the profession in 2000 Kevin qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2004 before starting and building a South Coast Business Recovery Department for a Top Ten firm.

Kevin always takes a positive approach to the financial situation of a business or individual and has had particular success with CVAs and IVAs. Kevin heads the Portsmouth office of Benedict Mackenzie.

Kevin is authorised to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Insolvency Practitioners Association in the United Kingdom.
