Panos Papas, with 30 years experience in business restructuring and recovery, he has advised directors who want to rescue their businesses and creditors and shareholders who have stakes in ailing companies. He work with businesses together with their landlords, banks, trade creditors and with HM Revenue & Customs to achieve the best outcome for stakeholders.
Where a business is unprofitable, he can carry out an independent review for the shareholders, the creditors or the directors. This sets out in detail the financial health of the business, a summary of recent history and a profit and cash flow forecast, with recommended action to deal with any problems identified.
Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1987 with PwC, he specialised in corporate recovery a year later, obtaining an insolvency license in 1990. He has been taking insolvency appointments since 2012 and joined Benedict Mackenzie as a Director in August 2019.
